If you have not heard - Vietnam has been accepted as the 150th member of the WTO today. This was exciting news for me as I'm proud of my country of origin and like to hear positive news about its people or economy. Plus my parents close friends are all entrepeneurs in Vietnam and it will be good for their businesses now that the country's economy is improving. Now Vietnamese folks won't be known for their yummy Pho noodles and infamous poker playing skills (go Johnny! - World Poker Series). Lol - but what will this all mean later on? Will I still be able to go there and get a bowl of pho for $0.35?!? No...don't let the Dong catch up to the Dollar. "Third world" country status still has its novelties. :-)
